Pacquiao-Mayweather fight could happen as early as September

Top Rank promotions owner Bob Arum says the much-anticipated Pacquaio-Mayweather match may still happen if Mayweather drops his demand for Olympic-style random blood and urine testing.
The long-running publicity on the Pacquiao-Mayweather match will continue until September this year when these two most popular boxers finally collide. Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum is hopeful that Pacquiao and Mayweather will settle their differences and give their boxing fans the fight they want to see.
But the Hall of fame promoter says that the fight will only happen if Mayweather drops his drug testing demands. The Pacquiao Maywether match failed to happen last March 13 due to the demand of Floyd Mayweather, Jr and his boxing team that they submit to an Olympic-style random blood and urine testing procedure to be conducted by the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA}.
Pacquiao's team led by Bob Arum declined Mayweather's demands, saying the right agency to do the test is the Nevada Sports Athletic Commission (NSAC) because the fight falls under its jurisdiction.
“(If Mayweather) stops the nonsense,” said Arum, the much-awaited showdown between the current pound-for-pound king and the former holder of that mythical title, will take place.
Arum said that while a November date is being looked at, Pacquiao could fight as early as September although a win in the elections would push the fight back to November. Pacquiao is currently campaigning for a seat in congress in the coming May 10 elections in the Philippines.
In the meantime, Mayweather will have to beat Shane Mosley when they collide on May 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada in order to boost his chances of facing Pacquiao for what could be the biggest boxing fight of the decade.
