Wladimir Klitschko Knocks Out Eddie Chambers in Round 12

Heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko knocked out American heavyweight challenger Eddie Chambers five seconds before the end of the 12th and final round in what appears to be a lopsided fight with Klitschko winning in all scoreboards.

IBF and WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko knocked out American heavyweight challenger Eddie Chambers in the 12th and last round of their heavyweight championship fight in Germany.Saturday.

The heavyweight division match which took place at the Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf was seen by fans as a lopsided match as Klitschko led in all scoreboards from round one to 11th. Some 51,000 boxing fans have filled the Esprit Arena to watch the fight. Kilitschko could have settled for a unanimous victory but his trainer Emmanuel Steward wanted a knock out win.

He had repeatedly reminded Klitschko to go for a knockout in the early rounds by throwing more punches but the heavyweight champion seemed content on winning by points until he finally dispatched a series of punches in the last round and caught Chambers with a devastating left hook that sent the American challenger to the canvas with five seconds left .

Vladimir Klitschko retained his IBF and WBO heavyweight belts.
